CO2 capture projects often extract low-pressure CO2 from industrial processes, requiring compression for pipeline transport or sequestration at over 1,000 psi. Because packaged reciprocating compressors struggle with low inlet pressures, a centrifugal blower is used upstream to feed positive pressure to the inlet of the compressor.
